Key features
A return reason per line on the return wizard, The reason stored on the stock move that the return creates, Return Reason Required per operation type - enforced, not suggested, Group and filter stock moves by reason, Each reason lists the moves and the products it concerns, The reason list is yours to maintain, per company
How It Works
Three places, one field.
1
The reasons you use
A short, maintained list - the value of the data depends on it staying short.
2
On the return itself
The reason is chosen per line while the return is created, and it stays on the moves.
3
Then it is analysis
Because the reason lives on the move, the standard move analysis groups by it.
4
Make it mandatory where it matters
Per operation type - so customer returns must say why while an internal correction need not.

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
It does not decide what happens to the goods.
Scrap, repair or restock stay your process; this records the cause.
No credit note logic.
Refunding is invoicing's job; the reason is a warehouse fact.
One reason per line.
A return that is half damage and half wrong item is two lines, which is also more honest.
It applies to returns made through Odoo's return flow.
A transfer created by hand is not a return, and gets no reason field.
Works Well With
Apps from the same stack, built to fit this one:
Quality
When the reason is a defect and needs a check.
