Viindoo Web Editor - Skeleton (WI-01)
Foundation module that extends OdooEditor / Wysiwyg via Odoo's patch
mechanism (@web/core/utils/patch) - not a fork.
JS-side (ported from WI-00b spike)
Exposes two registries under the viin_web_editor namespace so downstream
Brain modules can register Powerbox slash-commands without touching the
upstream web_editor code:
- viin_web_editor.powerbox_categories - Powerbox categories
- viin_web_editor.powerbox_commands - Powerbox slash-commands
And a host method on Wysiwyg.prototype:
- mountEmbeddedComponent(anchor, component, props) - mount an OWL
sub-component inside the editable area, returning a disposer.
Python-side (WI-01)
Pure-function block parser at tools/block_parser.py:
- parse_blocks(html) -> (blocks, links) - server-side HTML -> block
dict list. Idempotent across a parse -> serialize -> parse cycle.
- serialize_blocks(blocks) -> html - inverse transform.
- extract_plain_text(html) -> str - paragraph-aware text projection
for content_plain compute fields.
Base block types supported: heading_1..3, paragraph, bullet_list,
numbered_list, list_item, code, quote, divider. Unknown top-level elements
are preserved as raw blocks so round-trip stays lossless.
Stable block IDs
Every block carries a UUID anchor (data-block-id). The parser mints a
fresh UUID for untagged elements; previously-tagged elements keep their
ID. Consequence: block identity survives parse -> serialize -> parse.
See README.md for the patch surface, extension-point documentation,
and usage examples.
